Horses for Lease or Sale

Leases are available at Scarlet Hill on horses owned by the barn or by our boarders. A partial lease allows motivated students to develop a relationship with a specific horse. The leaser will have an opportunity to take lessons, ride independently and possibly compete. The horses below are available for on-farm leases only. Contact the barn to discuss the possibility of leasing one of these wonderful horses. Generally the expenses include half of board, shoeing and a three month minimum commitment.

• For Sale or Lease: Salem - 8 year old Morgan gelding, 15.1 hands

  Salem has evented through novice (USEA 128240#), is a season combined driving competitor (through preliminary level in pairs), and has been hunter paced. Salem has had a little over a year under saddle and requires an intermediate rider. He has good ground manners - ties, clips, loads, bathes, and lunges. Negotiable to the right home and available to lease in the right situation. Salem's registered name (with AMHA) is OMS Cinderfella. • For Lease: Max - 11 year old thoroughbred gelding with great ground manners, 16.1 hands

  Experience at Beginner Novice, schooling at Novice with the potential for more. Available for an on farm 1/3 lease (2 days a week) at Scarlet Hill Farm. Owner is a Pony Clubber who loves to ride and show but is involved with other sports and needs to share her horse. Ideal lessor would be an experienced rider wishing to train regularly with one of Scarlet Hill's trainers - Meredith Scarlet or Denise Goyea. Terms and prices negotiable. • For Sale or Lease: Image - 12 year old Morgan mare, 14.2 hands

  Cute, forward thinking, has evented through novice. Nice lateral work, brave jumper, Pony clubbed, no shoes, happily lives out. $3500, OBO. She is also available for on or off farm lease.

• For Lease: Aspen - 11 year old Percheron thoroughbred gelding, 17.3 hands

  Aspen has shown at beginner novice and novice events. He is schooling first level dressage and loves to ride out on the trails. He is available for a 2-day/week on-farm lease. Due to his size, Aspen needs an experienced rider. A dressage rider is preferred, but jumping will be considered for the right person.

• For Lease: Nayah - 8 year old Welsh/Chincoteague mare, 13.2 hands

  

  Nayah is a great pony for a beginner or intermediate student. She is quiet and easy to handle. Nayah is honest over fences and has some very nice dressage training. She has competed beginner novice. Nayah is available for a half lease.
